When you’ve lost someone you love and you’re just trying to survive the grief…
When my dad was diagnosed with Lung Cancer, we fought an incredible battle that would make an Army proud. We took advantage of every single good day, talked about everything under the sun and spent time, meaningful time together.
Unfortunately, our story didn’t end the way we had hoped. After some pretty significant complications, daddy made the decision to stop treatment and let God handle the rest.
There is nothing that can be said to ease the pain of losing someone significant in your life. There is nothing that will make it easier or make it less painful. People will try to help, but there is just nothing that will make it better, or make it go any faster.
My hope is that these quotes will bring a small amount of comfort as you’re going through the process…
I should know enough about loss to realize that you never really stop missing someone-you just learn to live around the huge gaping hole of their absence.
~Alyson Noel, Evermore
Grief never ends… But it changes. It’s a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith… It is the price of love.
~Elizabeth I
You will never be able to escape from your heart. So, it is better to listen to what it has to say.
~Paulo Coelho’s “The Alchemist”
To the well-organized mind, death is but the next great adventure.
~J.K. Rowling
Death is the certainty. Life is the unexpected gift.

Those we love don’t go away they walk beside us every day.

Grief I’ve learned is just love. It’s all the love you want to give but cannot. All of that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go.

Moving on doesn’t mean you forget about things. It just means you have to accept what’s happened and continue living.
