Take Back Your Life From Cancer.
Helping your loved one battle cancer requires a TON of motivation, that’s why we created Take Back Your Life From Cancer and we will give it to you FOR FREE …
When my dad was diagnosed with Lung Cancer things got really hectic, really quick.
We learned a few things right off the bat…
- Cancer completely sucks (I probably don’t have to tell you that).
- Staying motivated so you can keep fighting is the key.
- It’s REALLY HARD to keep your head in the game every single second.
In December of 2017, about a year after his diagnosis, my family hit one of the lowest points of our cancer journey.
My dad had been fighting hard but had lost his sister to cancer in September of that same year. Her son Jeffrey was also fighting the battle, and his fight was getting harder and harder every day.
To add a little more fuel to the fire, my husband had just been diagnosed with cancer and although his prognosis was good, we’d all had about enough of this disease.
Right about there, is where I personally, hit the quota for the amount of stressful situations I could take.
Stress Changes Everything
Our spirit was pretty low.
Christmas was only a few weeks away, but I can tell you there wasn’t a whole lot of positive energy flying around. My dad and Jeffrey were still fighting hard, but they were tired, seriously tired. And we were gearing up for a brutal winter in upstate NY.
As we were sitting around the dinner table with 15 members of our extended family and I was looking around and listening to the conversations… everyone just looked exhausted and defeated.
You know, the kind of tired that no matter how much you sleep, it doesn’t get any better.
When You’re Down and Out…
You find yourself asking, how did we get here? How can you spend every moment of your life doing the work, and still get knocked down? We’re attending the appointments, getting the treatments, fighting like hell and following every single rule… and we still get kicked down to the ground?
What’s the secret to keep fighting when you’re exhausted and devastated? How do you keep going when your energy is sapped?
At the lowest point in our journey, no matter what we did to get ahead, it just didn’t seem to work…
After a week of thinking about nothing else but that dinner, I decided what my family needed more than anything that Christmas was a break! Since I couldn’t make that happen, I needed a plan B.
So, I narrowed it down to what we were actually struggling with…
- We needed perspective.
- We needed hope.
- And we needed a BOATLOAD of motivation.
Take Back Your Life From Cancer
That’s when we created Take Back Your Life From Cancer.
Because, sometimes in the middle of the storm you just need something to remind you that you can do this and no matter how crazy things get, this will all work out the way it’s supposed to.
And, that’s why we gave it that name. When this disease explodes into the world of someone you love, it takes over and you spend an excessive amount of time dealing with it.
- Meeting with doctors and specialists
- Coordinating treatment
- Scans
- Follow ups
- Evaluations
- Spending days watching someone you love struggle through horrific side effects
When you’re not running around fighting the battle, cancer invades your mind and takes over your thoughts, and creates anxiety about the future. You worry about your loved one’s fate, about the future of your family and about your own mortality as well.
The stress and the anxiety just keep piling up, until you think you might actually explode.
But you don’t have time to explode… so you just keep going.
One Day at A Time
Cancer, even when it’s not yours, invades your life and takes over by robbing your time and stealing your sense of safety and peace of mind.
The Take Back Your Life From Cancer workbook was created for my family to help…
- Bring the situation into perspective.
- Find hope even though it was hiding.
- Kick start the motivation they needed to find their strength.
So, they could gear up to keep fighting hard.
And when it was done, I called my friend Kara @ Simplifying DIY Design and I asked her to make it look pretty. And the result is nothing short of amazing…
Stuart Scott said, “you beat cancer by how you live.” Cancer doesn’t get the privilege of taking over your life.
Yes, you’ll keep following the doctor’s orders and treatments and scans, but you’ll find a way to balance that with other things you want to do. Because cancer doesn’t get to determine how you live your life.
When my dad was diagnosed with cancer, we decided to LIVE and you can too…
